Minimalism and Elegance: Using Japanese Style in Your Garden

Minimalism and Elegance: Using Japanese Style in Your Garden

on Sep 24, 2013

Oriental gardening, particularly Japanese landscape design, is becoming more and more popular in the modern western world, and it is not hard to see why.

Japanese gardens are incredible; minimalistic, with carefully balanced structures, and a feeling of peace and tranquillity. Maybe it is the influence of the region’s philosophical attitude towards life that has shaped its style and design principles for several centuries, or it could be a combination...

With our deepest sympathies

on Sep 24, 2013

We are very sad to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Chaz, one of our warehouse team, yesterday evening.

We shall all miss him. He was one of our most popular drivers with nothing but glowing reviews from all our customers he delivered to.

He was polite, helpful and funny and it is a great loss to the rest of the team here.

All at Verdon Grey offer his family, friends and colleagues our sincerest condolences during this sad time.

With our deepest sympathies

Once again I would like to thank you for another successful order.

From the initial online order, we once again, knew that we were in safe hands. Your constant communication meant that we knew exactly what was happening all the time.

The delivery was made exactly as stated, and the delivery driver could not have been more helpful.

The product is wonderful, your website easy to use and as a company I cannot praise you highly enough.

Thank you once...

Luxury outdoor furniture doesn't have to be boring

on Sep 17, 2013

Traditionally outdoor fabrics where used on boats for decades but the development of these products has come leaps and bounds since then. In 2013 many of the fabrics used for outdoor furniture are softer, more comfortable and the design really compliments the garden. Even better they have been intended for use in the sun, wind and rain.

These performance fabrics of course get better the more you pay for them but you can guarantee they will be weather...

Buyer Beware: Why do prices vary so much for garden furniture?

Buyer Beware: Why do prices vary so much for garden furniture?

on Sep 12, 2013

To put it directly the reason why products vary is quality Vs quantity. What may look the same to the customer really is not the same in terms of quality meaning the prices are dramatically different. We are a luxury retailer and you know that through the quality of our pieces and that they will last you a lifetime.

Some customers often ask us what’s the different between our products and cheaper versions on the market; whether it be our teak, all...

on Sep 09, 2013

We hate to say it but here we are on the 9th of September and we are slowly sliding into autumn. The trees have started to lose their leaves in some parts of East Anglia and before we know it we will be putting Guy on the bonfire and eating our turkey.

Just because we find the year drawing to a close doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your garden, especially in the balmy autumnal evenings. Our feature Item this week shows how you can enjoy style and comfort...

Could your garden be putting off potential buyers?

Could your garden be putting off potential buyers?

on Sep 03, 2013

A unsightly exterior is believed to devalue a house by a small but significant amount. It is not just overgrown plants and dilapidated fences that could turn potential buyers away oh no! A well kept lawn and perfect patio can be just as damaging.

Let’s look at this closely-

Who exactly are you selling to? Lets say a family; your property is near a school and local ammenties perfect! However you have a fully paved garden- Not so good for the children...
