There are many things you can do to achieve a luxury feel whilst ensuring minimal environmental impacts.

Every designer garden should feature a carefully designed area to place some luxury furniture, as well as a barbeque.  A great way to do this in a more sustainable way is to create a paved area out of recycled slate.  Slates come in a wide range of colours and styles, with each one naturally beautiful and unique, and can help to achieve both a modern and a traditional look. In fact, buying recycled rather than new slate only adds personality to it, whilst minimising environmental impact.

Similarly, why not commission somebody to create you some fixtures such as archways on which to grow flowers, or even a creatively designed shed, greenhouse or summer house using recycled wood and other materials. This way, you can achieve something truly unique, and exactly to your style.

When it comes to decorating your outdoor space, think creatively and there are endless possibilities for materials you can use to finish off a look. Visit some antiques stores and build up a collection of plant pots, or items which could be made into plant pots, and plant some shrubbery specifically to match your style.  In addition to this, you can also create some unique art using any kind of recycled materials, such as ceramics and pots. If you do not feel creative enough to create something yourself, simply choose your materials or style, and commission a local artist to work their magic.
